This elegant Light Salmon and Beige Kimono style jacket in 100% Natural Eri Peace silk, is inspired by Japanese art. Big leaf prints are elaborately printed on the subtle salmon pink base. These kimonos have a fluid silhouette and can be used as an overdress or coat, over a simple top and trousers or casually over a dress. They hang loose with drop shoulders and wide sleeves. Our Organic Silk Kimono is crafted from Eri silk, a strong, dense, and highly durable wild silk. This natural fibre is biodegradable and has a low environmental impact. Eri silk is 100% hypoallergenic and has thermal properties that keep you cool in summer and warm in winter—perfect for all seasons.
Our artisan at Aeshaane practice “slow silk” farming, where the silk is carefully harvested from empty cocoons only after the moths have fully transformed and flown away. This makes Eri silk both ethical and cruelty-free, often called “peace” or “vegan” silk.
Each kimono is a handmade, artisanal creation. Our local artisans use eco-friendly, sustainable methods for spinning and weaving. Each piece takes at least a week to make, not including the time for harvesting and hand-printing.
Product Care– With a little love and care, your organic silk kimono will last you for years. We celebrate re-use, swapping and encourage you to repair whenever possible.

Urban Medley ondersteunt traditionele weef- en drukvormen. Hun ontwerpers helpen de ambachtslieden om een evenwicht te vinden tussen traditie en hedendaagse ontwerpen en helpen hun te commercialiseren met behulp van hun eeuwenoude methoden en productieprocessen. De prachtige sjaals en accessoires van Urban Medley zijn gemaakt door kleine gemeenschappen van wevers en printers uit India. De wevers werken voornamelijk vanuit huis, waarbij ze hun eigen werktijden bepalen. De printers werken in een kleine werkplaats met aangename werkomstandigheden. Urban Medley gebruikt biologisch, zwart katoen, 'peace' zijde en biologisch leer voor hun producten. Het merk wil niet gebonden zijn aan leeftijd, geslacht, ras, kleur of zelfs maat, daarom zijn accessoires gekozen als het belangrijkste focuspunt. De accessoires helpen u bij het vormgeven van uw eigen stijl. De ‘take care’ tassen zijn ook milieuvriendelijk: stoffen tassen gemaakt door vrouwen die vanuit huis werken in een dorp in Tamilnadu. Deze vrouwen kunnen daarom hun gezin onderhouden zonder dat ze een voet buiten de deur hoeven te steken. Het merk helpt je om een trotse en bewuste fashionista te zijn.
