Julahas maakt heeft een collectie van mooie, eerlijke producten die zij samen met Indiase ambachtslieden maken.

Eerlijk geproduceerd: de items worden handgemaakt in India, door ambachtslieden die werken via een NGO, via een FairTrade organisatie, of die onafhankelijk zijn. Julahas bezoekt deze partners 3-4 keer per jaar. Voordat ze aan het werk gingen, heeft Julahas de tijd genomen om het productieproces van de ambachtslieden goed te begrijpen. Ze vinden het bij een samenwerking erg belangrijk dat de waarden op het gebied van inclusiviteit, waardigheid en diversiteit gedeeld worden.

Milieuvriendelijk: Julahas werkt met wol en katoen. Deze worden op verantwoorde wijze ingekocht bij lokale, door de overheid goedgekeurde gemeenschappen in de regio's waar zij produceren. Sommige van deze kleine leveranciers zijn biologisch gecertificeerd of werken in relatie met de boerengemeenschappen zodat de hele productieketen met elkaar verbonden is. Zo kunnen boer en wever ook van elkaar profiteren.

Goed doel: het merk plant een boom voor elke aankoop die gedaan wordt. 

Steunt de lokale bevolking: Julahas werkt met oude ambachten en gemeenschappen die anders zouden verdwijnen. India heeft 7 miljoen ambachtslieden, maar velen van hen worden bedreigd door industrialisatie. Gemeenschappen vallen uiteen omdat familieleden niet meer aan handweefgetouwen willen werken. Dus door eerlijk en regelmatig werk aan te bieden, behouden ze niet alleen het ambacht, maar laten ze ook zien dat het mogelijk is om een goed inkomen te verdienen terwijl je bij je familie blijft.
