Our jarara consists of small as well as larger, disc-shaped beads made of recycled paper and is adorned with sparkling, small artificial pearls. It looks noble and elegant.

The special thing about it: Like all of our pieces of jewelry, it is made of paper, i.e. light, and on your cleavage in no time at all, as it has an elastic nylon strap without a fastener.

De ambachstlieden van Pearls of Africa maken mooie sieraden van recycled materiaal in Uganda. 

Eerlijk geproduceerd: Voor de productie huurt Pearls of Africa een huis in Kireka, Kampala, Oeganda. De werknemers werken ook in hun eigen woonhuis. De medewerkers verdienen een eerlijk loon, die 25% hoger is dan het gemiddelde lokale salaris. De vrouwen werken onafhankelijk aan de orders die ze krijgen vanuit Duitsland en bepalen hun eigen werktijden. 

Milieuvriendelijk: het hoofdmateriaal voor de sieraden is gerecycled papier. Alle accessoires worden met de hand gemaakt en verpakt in duurzaam verpakkingsmateriaal. 

Steunt de lokale bevolking: Pearls of Africa steunt haar werkers waar nodig en heeft een duurzame community van ambachtslieden opgebouwd van gevluchte vrouwen die hun huis of familie zijn verloren.
