Bron: The Driftwood Tales

The Driftwood Tales begon als een droom in Bali en werd in Amsterdam tot leven gebracht. Het merk is opgericht door een groep die eerst in de reclame industrie werkte en daar helemaal uitgekeken raakte op de korte termijn visie van de merken waar ze mee samenwerkten. Toen ze meer leerden over de mode-industrie en hoe ontzettend veel ruimte voor verbetering daar nog is, besloten ze het roer om te gooien en zelf een merk op te richten dat het wél goed doet. 

Eerlijk geproduceerd: The Driftwood Tales werkt met meerdere collecties die op verschillende plekken worden gemaakt. De signature collectie wordt gemaakt in India van Chetna Organic gecertificeerd biologisch katoen. Het Chetna Organic keurmerk betekent niet alleen dat het katoen biologisch wordt geproduceerd, maar ook dat dat onder goede werkomstandigheden gebeurt. Daarnaast is de fabriek in India waar de kleding geproduceerd wordt GOTS en SA8000 gecertificeerd, wat eerlijke werkomstandigheden controleert.

De basics collectie wordt onder eerlijke omstandigheden geproduceerd in Portugal.

Milieuvriendelijk: behalve gecertificeerd biologisch katoen, gebruikt The Driftwood Tales gerecyclede materialen. Zo maken ze onder andere items van gerecycled katoen, gerecycled viscose en gerecycled linnen.

Vegan: The Driftwood Tales gebruikt geen dierlijke materialen en het kledingmerk is dus ook geschikt voor vegans.
